Cash & Curry Montreal resto

Cash and Curry a.k.a. Nantha’s kitchen, Guest reviewer Major Eater Says,

Once upon a time in a land far, far away (named Ma-lay-sia) a dream was constituted. In present times this incarnation has formed an institution known as Cash and Curry, this recently opened Plateau, Montreal restaurant, serves Malaysian inspired dishes with lots of heat.

When you cash my curry please be gentle. With your partners Nantha and Ali by your side Cash and Curry, you will prevail over the forces of blah. My blackened shark was very spicy, with so many sides to revel in. Pad thai, simple yet elegant, as it should be, and the coup d’etat found resoundly in a fusion miso-tom yum, extreme flavor.

Atmosphere: Nantha yelling at customers from the kitchen/10

Table Setting: Ali drinking a beer while sitting at my table and taking my order/10

Food: 7.7444858585667676934/10

Price: 10-20$ per person/10

    Haha, Majer Sir!
Nantha is so funny, I always see him around town actin’ all crazy.
    Crazy is as crazy does.

Worth the experience just to hang out with the chefs at this local joint, the art on the walls is cool too.

The food’s great, love the duck and the pad thai, price is right, and Nantha looks a wee bit hung over in the video above.

Back in the day, when this restaurant first opened, it was great! Exactly as described above. The food was reasonably priced, DELICIOUS and a great, laid-back atmosphere.
However, I haven’t been back in quite a while because prices went up, the restaurant got over-run by obnoxious, loud McGillians and the waiter that now helps out had ATTITUDE. So disappointing.

    What a disapointment!!!
First of, when you go to a malaysian restaurant, you expect malaysian folks cooking for you, not caucasians (dont get me wrong, but you dont wanna jamaicans serving you at a sushi place if you see what I mean). The food wasn’t bad but the prices where, I mean when you have a table d’hôte at 22$ you expect the place to be upscale, you dont wanna a literally thumbnail samosas (as a hint they call them samositas) and you don’t wanna see the waitress filling water from the Bathroom (am not making this up).
A very good advice, dont go there but if you do, just remember that someone told you not to.
