Tried it twice for dinner on Sat night and once for Sunday brunch. Loved the ribs, but they were out of them on my second visit. I had grilled shrimp which were really quite good…odd sides though. I love the music Saturday night as both times it was ragtime which really gave a New Orleans feel to the evening. I just now made a reservation for next week as I have guests coming into town and one of them loves this place.

I just went to the griffintown a couple weeks ago and from all these reviews i dont get it. Perhaps they have gotten a new cook? We had the burger and some corn bread and it as all very good. Im a restaurant owner myself and that burger was delicious. Maybe this place deserves another try for those who werent impressed forst time around.

You may be talking about the OTHER Griffintown Café, down the street. I think it should be mentioned to people who have never been here that there are two places with the exact same name, on the same street. You gotta know to know.
My experience at THIS place has only been brunch: tastes good, SLOW service. Like, Café Joe's level of slow, you know what I mean?

Sorry if the administration forgot about saying something for the music – but friday its a great Blues band and Thursday its Roger Walls with the One Two Trio great jazz swing and standards for dinning and listening (its a new world and today its up to the musicians to promote themselves -I now find that clubs and establishments won't do that – the owner always says – How big is your following of people for us- not : I will promote your band if you play here) ————– Roger walls.com
