Maybe it was an off night, but the cut of steak wasn't that great (but it was less than $20 so what should we expect) the sauce wasn't al that great. Perhaps because I've been to a similar restaurant elsewhere, I know how really great this model could be. I also noticed there is another one in old Quebec city. I’ve been to the one in Bordeaux, and I don’t think this Peel street location is up to the same standard. I think their business model is amazing...how many other restaurants do you know that serve only one thing and are packed all the time. Entree salad is totally bland. Fries great, mystery sauce OK, meat is cheap cut but so is the price. I agree with Oded G. Now, i am sure this is not going to to earn me some extra cookie points with most Montrealers, but i believe this is probably one of the most overrated & overhyped resto in mtl! Not that it's that bad, of course, but not that good either! Personally, i ate there twice and was never really impressed (especially with the 'lets throw some walnuts on a bed of salad and pretend to be simplistic and sophisticated'...pure French hubris, and horribly executed on top of it!). Not to mention, the service could strive for higher standards- the last thing i feel like getting when i eat my petty salad is an old, grumpy, waiter/tress for no reason- i mean its not as if they have a headache from memorizing an entire menu for an hour...
