Going to try Green Spot. I second the terrible service issue at the Banquise. I visit a few hundred restaurants every year and I had to withhold my money after an unfortunate event here. The waitress could not hear what I was saying, maybe assumed I was speaking English(?) even though I was speaking French and then gave me the classic in place of my order. I had gone there as a “reliable” spot having been there many times before. Now reserving it only for late nights with a group of people. Whatever you do, don’t look like a tourist or backpacker! Ye will be judged!

The service and food was terrible!! I work in the service industry with my wife and we cant recall the last time either of us actually didnt tip a server. They were subjecting us to gangster rap as we waited forever for our overrated poutine which was very light on the cheese and gravy. After the waitress took our plates we waited for 15 minutes for someone to bring our bill. Didnt happen so we waited at the counter for a few minutes as some employees acknowledged us and then socialised with eachother instead of asking if they could help us. I actually wanted to leave without paying which is something I have never entertained the thought of untill today. Finally we were given our bill, we paid and left with the intention of never returning. This is mostly about the service being so rude. You can serve me food that I hate and I will still tip you as long as you simply pay attention to your customer.

I think some of the best poutine in Montreal is at the Greene Spot restaurant in St. Henri on Notre Dame. Homemade french fries, homemade sauce, and squeaky curds.

Overrated! The rave reviews this place gets is confounded by the fact that people eat here when they're trashed or famished!

BUT, the classic poutine is above average, without a doubt. The meaty plates are just too much, I'm a big fan of meat but put some bacon with the gravy and what you get is an inedible salty mess. Yeah, so just don't add the bacon.

Decently priced, though I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

If your completely drunk, this poutine is good. Otherwise, there's no taste. Bacon was precooked and not a lot of cheese…. Not the best I ate in my life.

I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THERE WAS GOING TO BE A REVIEW OF FALAFEL SAMI, ON GODOROV STREET BECAUSE I COULD REALLY USE SOME ADVICE ON WHETHER IT IS THE BEST OR NOT.
