There's a good ambiance, very hip. They are very generous with their portions overall (and I think that's why it's so popular for breakfast as well). I've never been for breakfast because I don't like long lineups. A few blocks east, there's an awesome breakfast place called La Grand-Mere Poule, where lineups are shorter. L'Avenue restaurant opens at 8am not 7am as advertised. We walked in and were waiting by the table and the waitress told us that we could not wait inside . They kisked us out and made us wait until 8 am outside on the sidewalk!!! nice job avenue nice. y are ur doors openened at 7 am and customers walk in and u kick them out in the cold??? nice way to treat customers!!! and the food was terrible!!!!
