Schwartz’s Smoked Meat Restaurant

On Schwartz’s restaurant Chef Deck Says:

You’re a Montreal staple and guess what we all love ya. You will always be the best Montreal smoked meat restaurant in my eyes though as of late some tough competition has arisen (Smoke Meat Pete, Abies). I love your smoked meat (medium or fatty), your combo steak platter, your speck apps, your fries, coleslaw, pickles, Karnatzel, and everything else. Schwartz’s I hope until my death you will keep caking shmuts into mine and my children’s arteries.

Atmosphere: I love sitting next to sticky sweaty strangers/ 10
Food: 123736736/10
The smell you infuse into the main: tempting deliciousness/10

Chef Deck signing out!

In reference to t-bone’s review of Snowdon Deli, I believe you get better food, service and fewer dentures falling out around you here.

I can’t get into your restaurant -there’s always a line-up. What is the big deal. It’s only smoked meat! There are other restaurants, people!

try to go in winter or late, never a line around closing time

Food is very good, best smoked meat I’ve had. But the dining room interior sucks big time, way too small (they have to sit strangers at your table), too many people, even the waiters have a hard time to work. And eating near the door in the winter gets you cold all the time.

I think they should get a bigger dinning room and invest a bit of money in their business.

This place is not a good value without a decent dining room like their is presently.

Won’t return to this dining room again, that is certain.

great smoke meat, but the rest of the place sucks so do the staff, looks like they never washed since 1928…never again tks. There is much better place.

A line-up says it all. Hello????

  • morningstar1968

The line-up says it all. Great smoked meat and best fries!
If you can't line up for ten minutes or so…your loss.

Come on guy, this place is like a landmark. It's different and hasn't
changed in decades. I still take my mom over there and we both
    simply love it.
